OzTech ("we", "our", "us") operates the Notelux mobile application ("Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

Account Data: When you use Notelux, an anonymous account is automatically created. We do not require your name, email, or personal identifiers.

User Content: Notes, audio recordings, uploaded PDFs, images, and YouTube URLs you provide for processing.

Usage Data: Study statistics (streak, cards reviewed, quizzes taken), app preferences, and device identifiers for analytics.

Purchase Data: Subscription status is managed by Apple. We do not collect or store payment information.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide AI-powered note generation, transcription, flashcards, and quizzes
• To sync your data across sessions and devices
• To track study progress and streaks
• To manage free tier usage limits
• To improve our Service

3. Third-Party AI Processing

Notelux uses the following third-party services to process your content:

• OpenAI (Whisper & GPT-4o-mini): Audio transcription and AI text processing. Your content is sent to OpenAI's API for processing. OpenAI does NOT use your data to train their models. Data may be retained for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring. See OpenAI Privacy Policy.
• Supadata: YouTube transcript extraction. Only the YouTube URL is sent.
• Supabase: Backend infrastructure for data storage and authentication. See Supabase Privacy Policy.

Important: AI processing requires your explicit consent. You will be prompted before any content is sent to AI services. You can revoke consent at any time in Settings.

4. On-Device Processing

The following features process data entirely on your device with zero data sent to any server:

• OCR text recognition (Apple Vision framework)
• PDF text extraction (Apple PDFKit)
• Flashcard study sessions
• Quiz interactions

5. Data Storage & Security

• Row Level Security (RLS): You can only access your own data
• Encrypted at rest and in transit (TLS 1.2+)
• Audio files and documents stored in isolated user-specific storage paths
• Anonymous authentication — no personal identifiers required

6. Data Retention & Deletion

You can delete individual notes at any time. Deleting a note removes all associated flashcards, quizzes, and uploaded files.

You can delete your entire account in Settings → Delete Account. This permanently removes all your data.

7. Children's Privacy

Notelux is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

8. Your Rights

• Access your data (visible in the app)
• Delete your data (Settings → Delete Account)
• Revoke AI processing consent (Settings)
• Export your notes as PDF

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
